Dog Bed Ambassador.
Have you met Jessie our Fur Personality dog bed ambassador? We introduced Jessie to our blog in an earlier post “Meet Jessie”. Jessie loves using her dog beds and she truly is a dog bed lover. Jessie has several beds located throughout the home at her favourite locations. She has three beds and she uses all of them. She uses them for different things at different times. Jessie has one bed located in the lounge room and she loves to use this in the afternoons for her snoozing. There is another bed located in the open plan dining-lounge area and this is next to a wide window that looks out to the back yard. She loves to sit and look at the yard. She also likes this spot because come evening time she watches dinner time activities and the family watching TV. Her third bed is also located in the open plan dining lounge area on the other side on the room. Jessie uses this for her night time sleep. When it comes to her bed time for the night she will relocate to this location for her nights sleep.
Jessie spends many hours snoozing and sleeping and this is why her dog beds are so important. Jessie uses her beds more than any other item she has, because she literally uses them throughout the day and night. Fur friends as a general rule can spend between 9-14 hours a day sleeping. Jessie is definitely within this sleeping time bracket. A couple of factors that determine how much sleep your fur friends has is age and activity levels.
Jessie has periods of high activity. She loves her walks and playing. These periods of activity means she needs to sleep to re-charge for her next activity.
What is your dogs favourite sleeping position?
Throughout the day and night during all their snoozing and sleeping fur friends will put themselves into different sleeping positions. Jessie has three favourite sleep positions. She stretches the length of her bed with her paws underneath her head. This sleeping position is commonly known as the lion pose. Jessie is usually just snoozing in this sleep position and she is in this position often throughout the day. Jessie also sleeps on her side a lot throughout the day. She stretches out on her bed and her legs are also stretched out. When Jessie wants to have a deeper sleep she curls up in a ball. She will be in this position during the day if she is tired and mostly at night.
Does your dog stretch out and curl up?
Our fur friends sleep a lot. They sleep during the day and night and this is why a dogs bed can be one of the most important items they have. It can also be one of the most used item they have. Your fur friend will have their favourite sleep positions. If you choose them a flat sleep surface your fur friends they can stretch out or curl up. They can put themselves into what ever position they want. They can stretch our for an afternoon snooze and come night time curl up into a ball.
