Dog Bed Tips.

If this describes your fur friend then it sounds like you have a dog that loves adventures. This would make your dog very active and they would use a lot of energy when outside exploring. When home they will spend time resting, snoozing and sleeping. This rest time will re-energise them ready for their next adventure outing.
When at home give them a go to rest spot and have their own bed ready to relax and sleep. If your fur friend has just returned from their outside adventure they might accidentally put dirt on their sleep surface. You may want to consider choosing them a bed colour that will not show the dirt as prominently. For example dirt is more likely to be more noticeable on a light pink fabric design compared to a chocolate brown colour pallet. You can keep your dogs sleep surface clean and fresh. Some dog beds are bulky or have several compartments to unzip and wash. These factors may deter you from washing their bed. Our Fur Personality dog beds have a zip off cover from the insert. This design means you can simply zip off the cover from the insert and machine wash the cover. (Go to product care for full details) This makes a great wash design for an active dog that is spending time doing their outside activities.
Your active fur friend will also be looking for comfort when resting up. They might want to stretch out for their snooze or curl up in a ball for sleeping. Our flat sleep surface will cater for what ever position they want to put themselves in. Beds that have bolster sides or round high sides may not be suitable for a full stretch out position. The cushion insert of our designer fabric beds are a soft comfort fill. The comfort fill is polyester and this means the cushion insert will supply some warmth to the bed when used. Your fur friend may be a bed digger. This bed scratching is a natural and normal behaviour. One of the reasons why your dog may be doing this is to get their bed organized and comfy for sleeping. Like us making our bed and fluffing our pillows. The comfort fill inside our beds will move inside the cushion when your fur friend digs. This is fine because if your dog is a digger it will move inside the insert and they can make themselves a comfy snuggle spot. Tip: The insert is not made to be used without the cover. Always have the cover on for your dogs use. When you need to, fluff the bed to evenly distribute the filling back again. Tip: When fluffing the bed filling back for your fur friend keep the cover on the insert. Your adventure dog can rest up, re-charge, and be ready for their next outdoor exploration.
